About Me

Recording artist Shelby Sanborn writes music for her fans to help get over emotional obstacles and overcome challenges. Influenced by a wide variety of contemporary artists such as Taylor Swift, Sarah Bareilles, Ed Sheeran Olivia Rodrigo and more, Shelby’s pop indie sound, melodic timing, and fresh coming-of-age lyrics exude a charming warmth. She has developed a signature sound featuring a chocolaty rich lower register and towering high notes.

Shelby has performed at various venues in California including The Hilton Bayfront Hotel, The Balboa Bay Club, Little Italy, The Welk Resorts, La Costa Resorts, The Brooks Theatre, Harrah’s and The Star Theatre in Oceanside. She’s won multiple competitions including the San Diego County Fair’s singing competition with her original song “Gravity.” Shelby has appeared in multiple playlists and online radio stations. Her music has appeared in multiple episodes of “The Women of Substance Podcast.” During the pandemic She received her Bachelors of Music in Songwriting from the prestigious Berklee College of Music. She graduated in three years in the top five percent of her class. Humble, but filled with confidence in front of an audience, she loves to entertain with her original songs, piano, guitar, and larger than life voice.  Shelby’s goal in sharing her music is to bring people together in such an isolated digital world. To remind those that we are not alone and to connect with others through music.
